BREAKING NEWS: 🚨 Benfica Biggest superstar and Best player joins FC Porto in €36 million transfer… Details Below 👇

Vangelis Pavlidis, linked with Red Star Belgrade, is set to join Porto in a €36 million transfer, making it clear that the deal was financially out of reach for Red Star.

Vangelis Pavlidis, the Benfica striker who has been linked with Red Star Belgrade in recent days, is set to leave the Portuguese club. However, it won’t be for a move to the Marakana, but rather a significant transfer to Porto worth €36 million!

From the start, it was clear that acquiring the Benfica top scorer from last season (29 goals) would be an impossible mission for Red Star, primarily due to financial constraints.

This now becomes evident as the outstanding goal scorer is on the verge of completing transfer to Porto Reportedly, Porto is ready to pay €36 million upfront with an additional €2 million in bonuses.

This offer should be enough for the Portuguese giant to outbid the competition, which includes West Ham, Fulham, and Crystal Palace, who also had their eyes on Pavlidis. Given such competition and the substantial transfer sum, Red Star simply cannot compete at this moment and will need to look for alternative solutions in attack.

The 25-year-old Greek striker has previously played for Bochum and Willem II, from where he transferred to AZ Alkmaar in 2021 for €2.5 million. In 137 matches for AZ, he has scored 80 goals and provided 27 assists.
