SAD NEWS : Alabama super QB Jalen Milroe reportedly confirm dead at 23 from a fatal car accident 😢 😭
Jalen Milroe (4) runs against Michigan Wolverines defensive back Rod Moore (9) in overtime in the 2024 Rose Bowl college football playoff semifinal game at Rose Bowl.
Armed with the ability to throw the ball a country mile, and the speed, elusiveness, and build of a starting tailback, the Crimson Tide’s signal caller is a Heisman candidate in 2024.
So as you may imagine, he, like the Tide will be widely used in EA Sports College Football 25, with some already unable to get enough of him:
Milroe Dominates Early Plays of EA Sports College Football 25
Jalen Milroe from Alabama, when I was playing with them, and I would take off running with Milroe, you feel that top-end speed. If you’re not a good user, you really feel the power of somebody like a Jalen Milroe because he’s that much harder to tackle than a lesser guy because he’s just so quick and so shifty. -Eric Ray, YouTube
Milroe is one of the more unique prospects at the QB position in recent memory. After watching his Texas game on film last night, the player who beat Georgia in the SEC championship and the one who lost on September 9th at Bryant-Denny are two different humans.
His growth from September through December has to rival the most in-season improvement and development you will see in football. And now, he’s under the tutelage of arguably the top QB guru and brightest offensive minds in all of college football with new HC Kalen DeBoer.
I fully expect to see Milroe unlocked even more as a passer in 2024, and so do many analysts and draftniks who are already mocking Milroe as high as the top 10 in way to early 2025 mock drafts.
But what sets him apart not only on the virtual gridiron but the real one, is his legs. He is a combination of Cam Newton and Lamar Jackson as a runner. An imposing figure with the ball in his hands, you have to hit him low.
Problem is, he’s shifty enough to make you miss if you drop your eyes, and fast enough to hit his head on the goalpost from any patch of grass.
The best part?
Fans will get their hands on Milroe in a little over a month when EA Sports College Football 25 drops, and then be able to watch him a few weeks after when the Crimson Tide kick-off their season against WKU on August 31st.
