HE HAS GOT ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE OF A PLAYOFF PLACE AND THAT’S BEING GENEROUS” – PETER WRIGHT’S PREMIER LEAGUE HOPES GIVEN BRUTAL ASSESSMENT BY COLIN LLOYD
With the 2024 Premier League Darts campaign having reached the halfway mark, former finalist, Peter Wright finds himself languishing at the bottom of the table with just a single victory to his name.
“Peter has got no chance of making the playoff places, not a chance.” Colin Lloyd, himself a former Premier League Darts participant, brutally assesses for Sky Sports and with ‘Snakebite 11 points adrift from the top 4 with just eight weeks of the regular league phase to go, it’s not hard to see why Lloyd is so certain in his prediction.
“I’m putting that out there. He has got absolutely no chance of a playoff place and that’s being generous,” ‘Jaws’ continues assuredly, much to the amusement of his Sky Sports colleagues, Emma Paton and Polly James.
“The problem is, if we were being closed doors and you said you wouldn’t tell anyone, Peter would openly admit he’s not playing well enough. He’s not playing with the consistency of the guys above him and they’re just playing too well at the minute. He can’t catch them. He won’t! I just don’t think he can catch them,” concludes Lloyd.
