South Carolina Gamecocks football player involved in a huge and terrible accident crash.

The mystery of that other driver in the T’Vondre Sweat crash appears to be solved, and it points to another Texas football player.

Texas Longhorns linebacker S’Maje Burrell has been identified as the driver of the other car in the crash that involved former Longhorn lineman T’Vondre Sweat on Sunday, resulting in the latter crashing his SUV and being arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Police said that Sweat was driving a Ford Bronco when he was hit from behind, causing him to lose control of the car, into a service area and roll the vehicle on its side.

When police arrived at the scene at 4:11 a.m., the other driver had already left the scene on foot.

“We’re aware of the situation involving S’Maje Burrell and have suspended him indefinitely from all team activities for conduct detrimental to the program,” Sarkisian said in a statement.

A former four-star recruit from Fort Worth, Burrell did not play last season while redshirting.

Sweat’s blood alcohol level was measured at .105 while in custody shortly after 6:00 that morning. The legal limit in Texas is .08. He was booked at Travis County Jail before posting bond and being released.

Now, the former star lineman and current 2024 NFL Draft prospect is facing a Class B misdemeanor that in Texas carries a fine of up to $2,000 or 180 days in jail.
