Just in: Court docs revealed some secret evidence why Rory Mcllory and Erica divorced can’t stand. Full details below ⬇️

PGA star Rory McIlroy has reportedly served his estranged wife, Erica Stoll, divorce papers, according to court documents.

The four-time major champion filed for a separation from Stoll after seven years of marriage citing that the pair’s relationship is “irretrievably broken.”

Per the Belfast Telegraph in Ireland, Stoll was served the papers by Carl Woods — a former Palm Beach, Florida police officer — on the morning of May 13.

McIlroy had signed the documents digitally during the weekend at the Wells Fargo Championship, which he had won just a few days before she was served.

The court says that Stoll has 20 days to file a written response to McIlroy’s petition starting from the day the papers were obtained.

The summons reads: “A phone call will not protect you. Your written response, including the case number given above and the names of the parties, must be filed if you want the court to hear your side of the case. If you do not file your response on time, you may lose the case, and your wages, money and property may thereafter be taken without further warning from the court.”

The Northern Irish golfer is being represented by the same attorney that advised Tiger Woods during his high-profile divorce with Elin Nordegren 14 years ago.

As of the time of the Telegraph’s report Stoll had yet to respond to McIlroy’s filing. The couple also signed a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot in 2017.
