Sad News: Nelly Korda withdraws from Ladies European Tour event after been bitten by an Animal.Full story below ⬇️⬇️

Nelly Korda’s sudden rough patch was weird enough, but now it’s taken an even stranger turn.

The World No. 1 shot 81 last Friday to miss the cut at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, her third consecutive missed cut. This, after Korda’s historic run of winning six tournaments in seven starts, including a second career major at the Chevron Championship. But apparently, things got worse the day after she matched her highest score as a pro.

“I regret to announce that I must withdraw from next week’s Ladies European Tour tournament in London,” Korda wrote in a statement released on Instagram. “On Saturday in Seattle, I was bitten by a dog and need time to receive treatment and fully recover.”

Well, that doesn’t sound fun.

“I apologize to the LET, the sponsors, and my fans for my absence,” Korda continued. “Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to returning to the course soon.”

The 25-year-old Korda is a 14-time LPGA winner. The next major on the women’s golf schedule is the Evian Championship July 11-14.
